Travels With My Nephew eBook

‘Travels With My Nephew’ tells the tale of Dorothy and her nephew and their journey around the world as told by Dorothy to Mr Wilson in a series of in-depth interviews

Dorothy and her nephew have a special connection. When he finds a way of escaping the drudgery of the 1960s English Midlands, Auntie Dorothy, being the loving, caring and devoted Auntie that she is, tags along to take care of him, while he learns to dance, make dresses and fall in love. Many times. He helps her avoid arrest by the New York Police Department; she helps him quell a mutiny on the Caribbean. They march through the Gay Liberation movement in 70s London, witness the ‘plague years’ of the 80s and lived to embrace the present-day pioneering realities of living as ageing people with positive futures. ‘Travels with My Nephew’ is a personal history of social change told in a long-awaited and uniquely entertaining, heart-warming and informative way.
